It is with great pleasure that we announce the theme for our second face-to-face collaborative conference between the ICLE (Intercultural Communication in Language Education) SIG and the GILE (Global Issues in Language Education) SIG: " Exploring Diverse Identities: Developing Intercultural Sensitivity in Japan." In a world increasingly interconnected yet marked by diverse identities, the need for fostering intercultural understanding has never been more pressing. Japan, known for its rich cultural heritage and technological advancements, stands at a unique crossroads of tradition and modernity.
