The JALT 2022 Listening SIG forum and AGM

Our next Listening SIG event will be the JALT Listening SIG Forum/AGM on Saturday 12th November. The forum, will be divided into two parts.
Listening and Lexical knowledge: Theory, challenges, and solutions.
In the first part, we welcome Stuart McLean, Brett Milliner and Joshua Matthews who will present about the theory, challenges, and solutions concerned with listening lexical knowledge. Their presentation will focus on defining and understanding aural lexical knowledge (ALK) in relation to listening and consider how these theoretical and practical considerations can be used in the classroom.
Listening SIG AGM and Attendees’ Question Time
The second part will be convened as an AGM. We will inform our members and any potential members about our events, publications, and collaborations this year. We will then open the floor for a panel discussion for attendees to share their own experiences and accounts of research developments in the field of listening.
