(Brought to you by Fukui Chapter and Materials Writer SIG. Interview conducted by Fukui Chapter President, Robert Dykes)
Bio: Paul Goldberg has an M.S. in Secondary Education, an M.A. in TESOL, and completed the coursework (ABD) for an Ed.D in TESOL. He has taught English as a foreign language in Venezuela, Spain, Korea, the US, and most recently at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. Paul founded Xreading because of his desire to make graded readers more accessible for students, and extensive reading programs easier for teachers to manage.
Abstract: This is part 2 of an interview series with professionals in the graded reader industry. A couple of months ago Robert interviewed Andy Boon who has written about 20 graded readers and has been an editor on 30. For this event, we are changing gears a little and interviewing Paul Goldberg who is founder and president of a massive online graded reader library and LMS system, Xreading.com. Robert will ask questions about extensive reading, graded readers, and the current state and possible direction of the graded reading industry in Japan. However, the main focus of the interview will be Pual Goldberg's successful online virtual library, Xreading.
Fukui chapter is continuing its Pandemic special and this event will be FREE for all JALT and non-JALT members.
