Are you interested in offering telecollaborative learning for your students?
Join this event to learn about what students get out of the learning experience and discuss with other educators on how we can maximize the learning outcomes throughout authentic intercultural communication online. The presenter will share her research findings as well as practical tips to support learners in teletandem learning, drawing on her own experience as a facilitator in the teletandem program at her institution.
Our speaker, Kie Yamamoto, is Assistant Professor in Department of English Communication, Faculty of Global Studies at Wayo Women’s University in Japan. In addition to her teaching role, she is in charge of running self-directed learning activities and supporting student learning communities at the school. She is also currently pursuing her doctorate at University of Bath in England. Her research interests lie mainly in teletandem learning, language learner identity and learner autonomy. She holds an M.S.Ed in TESOL from Temple University.
