For our second meeting of 2009, we are going to go back in time a bit to the PAC7/JALT 2008 Conference held this past November in Tokyo. Various local presenters - including Melodie Cook, Richard Hodson, Tim Allan, and Tomoko Maekawa - will share ideas, inspirations, materials and handouts from their time at the Conference. Topics will include impressions by a first-time presenter, a plenary on World Englishes, and a preview of the 2009 Conference's themes, with guidelines for would-be presenters.
After the meeting, we are joining many other people to say goodbye (we prefer "mata, ne") to our longtime executive member and immediate past Program Co-Chair, Melodie Cook, who is moving to Niigata. Her party starts at 7 PM at Blue Rain in Sumiyoshi, and costs Y3000 for food; drinks, extra.
