This is our third online "meetup" where we hope to share ideas and grow as educators. I can not stress enough the "casual" part of the event title. In times like these, it's nice to have a way to be social while socially distancing. Moreover, it provides a unique opportunity to hear ideas from faraway teachers we likely wouldn't meet even in normal circumstances.
Please feel free to drop in or out at any point. No formal attire necessary. Come as you are. If you only wish to observe and not speak, that's totally fine :)
18:00 Room opens. Please join!
18:05 Introductions
18:15 Kanpai!
18:20 - 18:40 What is JALT? Why are we here? What's it all mean?
18:40 Intermission Room will briefly close because I have a basic Zoom account, and the limit is 40 minutes per session. I will start a new session immediately, but take a break if you need one. When you're ready, use the same link to rejoin.
18:45 - 19:20 Sharing of challenges, solutions, and ideas
19:20 Another intermission
19:25 - 19:50 More sharing, carousing, networking, etc.
19:50 - 20:00 Closing
20:00 - ? I'm happy to start another session if anyone wishes to keep going.
This event and others like it are free and open to anyone. It's not necessary to be a Nagano JALT member.
