21CLT - 21st Century Language Teaching Conference 2018

Event Speaker(s):
Makiko Tanaka - 田中真紀子
Saturday, September 22, 2018 - 9:30am to 5:30pm

The purpose of this Language Teaching conference is to provide the occasion for members or friends of the Okinawa chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) to:
Attend a bilingual Keynote Presentation related to teaching English to young learners;
Present research or best practices in parallel sessions (presentations or workshops);
Present posters to share effective teaching practices in a more casual way.

Okinawa AMICUS International will host an all-day event organized with Okinawa JALT chapter (OkiJALT), to share ideas and good practices while developing language skills in Japan. In order to offer diverse perspectives, presentations and discussions will be in English and/or Japanese.

We want to gather participants who don’t usually meet! Our primary target are teachers from both Japanese schools and international schools in Okinawa, from preschool to high-school, as well as administrators, researchers and other language teachers. Of course, participants from outside Okinawa are more than welcome!

Teachers and researchers involved in language teaching and learning are encouraged to submit an abstract to present a poster, make a short presentation, or facilitate a workshop.
