Job Information Center

The JALT2018 Conference attracts the most qualified EFL teachers from the finest academic institutions in Japan. Whether you are an educator seeking to hire or an educator searching for a job, the Job Information Center is the best place to meet and find common ground.

Drop by the JIC located in the EME area to submit a job listing or a CV, review the latest openings, meet available candidates, get CV feedback from people in your industry, gain insight on the EFL job market, or arrange an on-site interview. We can help you search for jobs online, charge your laptop or phone, or print an extra copy of your resume in a pinch (wi-fi hotspot & printer available). There is a space for on-site interviews by recruiters, as well. These services are free to all conference attendees.

A JIC sponsored presentation will take place on Sunday, November 25th, details can be found in the main JALT2018 program:

Title: Professionalism & ethics in academic employment
Presenter(s): Michael Parrish & Richard Miller
Day: Sunday, November 25th
Time: 2:50 PM - 3:15 PM
Room: 905

At the JIC Booth there will be ongoing informal poster sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, some of the topics include: “The Balanced Academic Scorecard”; “Preparing an Academic Application Package”; and “Preparing a Japanese CV”.

We will also host a CV clinic on Saturday afternoon, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Sunday morning, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, or by appointment. JIC staff and your colleagues will be on hand to share experiences and give advice.

We hope to see you there!
