Just as important as all those presentations, workshops, and forums is the chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones, and this year we have planned plenty of opportunities for just that. Welcome Reception
Friday, November 17, 6:30pm-8:30pm in Rooms 101 and 102
The social activities will kick off on Friday night with the Welcome Reception. The caterer, Tabi-Cafe, will be serving wine and cheese. As in 2014, Nest Beer, craft beer from Ibaraki Prefecture, will also be available for purchase. If you are arriving early, don’t miss the chance to meet up with fellow colleagues, which is always a good way to start a conference.
Best of JALT
Saturday, November 18, 7pm-8:30pm in the Multi- Purpose Hall
Our premier social event, the Best of JALT, is an occasion to celebrate outstanding presenters and authors who have made exceptional contributions of inspiration and insight to JALT Chapters and SIGs. Light food and a welcome drink will be provided, and Nest Beer will be back for a 2nd night, so please join us in supporting the recipients of the Best of JALT award and celebrate the close of the first full day of the conference with refreshments, conversation, and good times.
Coffee Shop
This year, coffee and lunches can be purchased next to the Main Convention Hall on the 2nd floor. Take time out for coffee, a snack, a chat, a lunch break, or just to catch your breath for a bit.
