Title- Deconstructing Communication
Presenter- Simon Reeves, Tohoku Bunkyo College
Abstract- In this workshop the speaker will approach the topic of communication from a slightly different angle. We communicate with others every day but exactly how and what, are we communicating? In the field of social psychology, it has been suggested that verbal communication only accounts for a small percentage of total communication. This workshop will cover some aspects of non-verbal-communication and limited verbal communication. The workshop is based on a drama activity which will take the form of a series of challenges for the participants, to see at what basic levels they are able to convey messages to each other.
