JALT holds three Executive Board Meetings (EBMs) per year (full weekend EBMs in February and June, and a one-hour EBM at the annual international JALT conference). All Board of Director (BoD) members as well as representatives from all of JALT's chapters and SIGs are expected to attend, as well as invited attendees from publications board, various committees, and so on.
Please submit your EBM Registration Form by 17 January 2020.
The JALT Executive Newsletter (JENL) is online (available for JALT members who are logged in). This newsletter contains information about the meeting such as the meeting agenda, reports, and minutes of the EBM and Board of Directors meetings.

Don’t Forget To Bring...

The NPO Laws in English and/or Japanese; they are also found in "Officers Resources" on jalt.org
Comfortable clothes (we’re quite a casual group) & good walking shoes

What To Do...
Read the JENL and talk about it with your chapter or SIG co-officers. Pay special attention to the motions in New Business. Officer reports and minutes of past meetings will also give you a picture of all the hard work volunteers are doing at the national level.
Familiarize yourself with the Standing Rules and the Constitution and Bylaws.
And if you’re feeling really ambitious, download and scan the JENLs & meeting minutes from the last year to familiarize yourself with issues that have been covered at previous meetings.
