Choosing Appropriate Activities for the Classroom

Event Speaker(s):
Shirley Leane
Sunday, October 26, 2014 - 2:30pm to 4:30pm

This workshop-style presentation will follow the theme of Ken Wilson’s presentation last year. Shirley will explain some of the theories behind the great activities that Ken demonstrated. This presentation will be independent, so don’t worry if you didn’t attend last year’s event. Everyone will be able to benefit and share.
The presentation will be in two parts. The first part will be an explanation of the three major philosophies of language teaching with an interactive discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of each. The second part will focus on activity planning as it relates to student motivation. Audience members themselves will join in and plan activities that can be taken back to use in their own classrooms.
