Workshop: Dramatic Steps to Creative Writing

This workshop will demonstrate activities that can be used, in sequence or independently, to help students explore the fantastic world of creative writing. Brainstorming activities can often be frustrating in EFL classrooms, particularly with students who are apprehensive or panic at the thought of having to create original ideas independently. The activities are predominantly group-based, do not require innate creativity, and help guide students with baby steps towards rich and creative ideas. These are activities that can easily be incorporated into writing classes almost immediately and do not require elaborate preparation!
