The West Tokyo chapter held a friendly picnic open to families and pets in Inokashira Park on a warm and sunny afternoon.
Activities, such as an Easter egg hunt, were planned, but participants were having so much fun talking that the eggs were scooped up by unknown children (providing a bit of JALT PR) and crows (providing decorative nest fixtures). The event was also a potluck. Chapter president Jason Pratt brought homemade Afghan food, Chiyuki Yanase provided a great salad, and snacks and drinks from others abounded.
All in all a number of old friends and new faces joined, as did Jason's dog.
West Tokyo's next outdoor event will be the AGM BBQ scheduled typically in September. Anyone is welcome to join and the dog will likely be there again to greet all.
