Team Teaching Sub-committee

The Team Teaching Sub-committee was created at the June 2022 EBM (Motion 2022-2-03).

Moved that the following be adopted as Standing Rule 5.9, to create the Team Teaching sub-committee:

Standing Rule 5.9: The Team Teaching Sub-committee

1. The Team Teaching Sub-committee shall
   
   1. Reach out to Japanese teachers of English (JTEs) and assistant language teachers (ALTs) to support team teaching practices;
   2. Work with the Director of Membership to suggest and propose policies to the Board of Directors and the EBM to attract JTEs and ALTs and encourage and facilitate their joining JALT;
   3. Consist of the Chair and 2-4 other members.
2. The Team Teaching Sub-committee Chair shall be appointed by the President and approved by the EBM.

Rationale:

The Team-Teaching WG (currently consisting of Takaaki Hiratsuka and Matthew Nall) has garnered much attention and interest from a large number of people, particularly local Japanese teachers of English (JTEs) and foreign assistant language teachers (ALTs), throughout the country that it is promised to be a catalyst for reaching new people and hosting various events as a JALT sub-committee.
