Henry IV, performed by the National Theater of Young Artists.
Saturday, Nov 20th, 6:30-7:30 pm, Main Hall
JALT is very pleased to welcome the National Theater of Young Artists to JALT2010. It’s not very often we have the chance to engage with learners at the conference, but this is a great opportunity to see a group of particularly talented and dynamic young learners performing live on stage. Based in the Kansai area, NTYA offers children and young people the space to express themselves through drama, song and dance in English.
Led by their Artistic Director Theo Steckler (well known to many conference goers for his Dramaworks series), NTYA will be performing an updated version of Henry IV on Saturday evening. Don’t expect a staid, boring recital: it will be an upbeat spectacle with music, dance and swashbuckling action. It’s an event you shouldn’t miss—a rare opportunity to see live talent in English. And it’s here for you at JALT2010, for just 1,000 yen. Tickets are available at the onsite registration desk, or contact the central office to book tickets in advance.
Come and join us, after a pre-theater sip of sake, and support this creative group of performers. Don’t miss this opportunity to see what young people can do when they’re given the space to be creative!
